My blinds are closed to let the summer times go quickly pass, done to block the beauty of the flowers, trees and grass. This season’s solstice glory often sweeps the soul away bringing on a strong desire for bliss this July day. As circumstances are I find myself inside my home shut off from the chance of all the love I’ve never known. I dare not look outside when the evening sky arrives. My heart would ache so I must hate the sparkling fireflies. 6/30/18 NA Truth Poetry Contest Judged 6/7/19
