Fire Works - Revisited

Fire Works!
The Poet, The Singer(s), and The Child

Words Actor

Fire works, The Poet
The black easel sky,
Boom! Whiteness explodes,
Into blue star outs,

And the rockets red glare The Singer(s)
The bombs bursting in air

Cinders descend, The Poet
Trickling,
Into nothingness,
Burned out,,

Fire works, The Poet
The black easel sky,
Boom! Whiteness explodes,
Into blue star outs,

And the rockets red glare The Singer(s)
The bombs bursting in air

Cinders descend, The Poet
Trickling,
Into nothingness,
Burned out,,

Spinning Razzles, The Poet
Dazzle,,
Spinning Razzles,
Dazzle,,
Whiteness Explodes,
Whiteness Explodes,

And the rockets red glare The Singer(s)
The bombs bursting in air

Red White, Blue White, Collide! The Poet
Etching patriotism,
Into minds,,

Gave proof in the night The Singers(s)
That our flag was still there…

I pledge allegiance to the flag The Child
Of the United States of America.
And to the Republic, For…

“Boom!” Fades into “Bam!”, The Poet
“Crash”, colors splash,
“Oooohsss” echo into “Ahhhhhssss”,
Cinders fade to ash
Bam, to Bam, BOOM!
Bam to Bam BOOM!

O'er the land of the free The Singer(s)
and the home of the brave.

With liberty and justice for All. The Child

Hands Clap, Clap, Clap, The Poet
Into Frenzy!

And it Ends

Comments: Above is a patriotic poem performed by 3 players. Think “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, a flag waver.

Or above is a protest poem performed by 3 players. Think Jimi Hendrix’s version of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, a flag burner. Reader’s Choice.
