Fire and Ice
Fire and Ice. A mixture? No,
For they cannot collide,
And when they do,
All Hell breaks loose,
They are on different sides.
Whether it’s anger, jealousy, or hate,
They will always go their own way,
And when they do,
They believe to be Zeus,
And go after the same pay.
Fire can be many things,
But only to a degree,
As the hotness burns its foe
Ego gets in the way of certainty.
The arrogance, selfishness, and Pride,
Cut away at the skin underneath
Only to reveal its ignorance
Of the eternity lying at its feet.
Ice can be many things,
Though some say it’s not as callous,
As the coldness tries to find what’s beneath,
Tries to find the source of this malice.
The humbleness, selflessness, and self-control,
Create a sudden aura,
Only to have its politeness bewildered
The seeking of Aurora
However, their similarities are what stand out,
They both are stubborn,
They both have secrets,
Nothing anybody is ready to learn
Yet neither hold any regrets.
