Finish With a Deep Breath
Inhale deeply the sweet aromas of the air
As you follow her religiously down the stair.
And when you enter her cave with true heart
You will never again want to part.
Close your eyes and see her more clearly
As your heart will pull her to you more dearly.
Reach out to her to take her by the hand
No words needed, for the dance is planned.
Her waist you gently touch as she takes her stance
Waiting for your lead, as you begin the dance.
Nonstop you whirl her around the floor
A couple gliding gracefully, enticing the other's step even more.
Walking back to a table where Champagne awaits
Remembering still, her gently swayed gaits.
Your glasses clink, your hearts pounding as both take a sip
A gasp of delight, thankful for the respite and this little nip.
Breathe again, Inhaling deeply.
