Finding Yourself

Walking among living we breath life
Society's dreamers paradise to every desire
What is purpose without goals of hope
Except one be dead in themselves without light
In spirit, does soul project provision unto ego
One follows heart in search to existence
Because we think, therefore is it so
Reality to expectations reach far beyond stars
As depths of darkness holds secrets unseen
Trials and tribulations bring survival instinctive will

We strive behind woodlands and concrete high rises
Building walls to trust and realization
Material to beauty's essence love breathes
Beating every heart pulsating blood stream
Is one themselves if of world you follow
Lost being fighting next meal your thirst
Or soul you give light do you hunger quenching

Upstanding citizen, portrait watercolor drawn
Our own discontent we drive the blade
Cutting the spirit, wounds deeply gash
Is man to live if he can not live with himself
Where does unity begin in black and white picture
Except your heart where love portrays colors
And colors don't run it's lasting image
Finding yourself, knowing where to look brings change
