Final and Forever
Lured by oblivion, you
dream of breathing your last breath.
Yet life's seldom found wanting
when fairly weighed against death.
Final and forever form
a lasting combination.
And suicide marks your soul
for eternal damnation.
Overwhelmed by fickle fate,
you submit to pain's embrace.
And masking reality;
hide behind a smiling face.
Haunted by unfulfilled dreams,
your life starts to fall apart.
But only time can numb the
pain that is breaking your heart.
And yet, under all that hurt,
there lies a flicker of hope.
And believing in yourself,
you find the courage to cope.
