Indeed dear readers, there is such a book.. Yet In my deepest boredom, I have never looked.’ Foresooth and in truth; it’s been fifty years.?since I glanced in his direction..I’ve no desire now to Subject any ears’ though they be of barley.? Or even corn.. I bind to no disputed lyric Origens I’d druther indeed be forelorn. Cast on An isle barren and sad.. Than laud disputed Lyrics if you like your truth’s to be had.?

Not sure exactly what you mean here... Personally, I find Shakespeare to be, far, far and away, the greatest playwright/author to ever have lived. He could write about long-gone eras and/or faraway places to which he had no connection as if he had experienced them himself. E.g., Caesar, Othello, The Merchant of Venice, and on and on and on. He amazes me. Most of us mere mortals can only write from personal experience. ~ gw

And who's to honestly say it was really one man who wrote the plays -- a lot of theatrical troops group-think -- change words, phrases as a performance progresses toward show-time? No way of truly knowing.

- Yes you are right, he wrote about violence, sex, or other themes not traditionally in "regular sonnets" ... he was just a human being, Joe :) - hugs
