Fill My Cup

Fill My Cup

In sorrow You fill my Cup
And it overflows
And in my grief, You come
To comfort me
When I'm down in the valley
You make mountains rise
And in your great love, Oh Lord,
I will abide.

So fill my Cup with sadness, Lord,
Let it overflow
Because You are teaching me
What I need to know
You Fill my heart with laughter
To ease the ache inside
And in your great truth oh Lord
I will abide

Fill my Cup with pain, Lord,
Let the tears fall down
So one day I'll understand
This joy all around
In sorrow I bow
But in joy I'll arise
And in your great mercy, Lord,
I will abide

To know the joy of reaching up so high
First we must walk through the valley
And climb the mountain side
And in our great Lord
We must abide, we must abide.

Yess!! You have captured is essence so well thank you! I find it comforting to realize that we cannot comprehend the fullness of joy without the depths of despair to compare it to. Thank you again Silent One!
