L o v e, a withering star ~ awakened amidst silence that swirls through the night sky like fairy lights, i l l u m i n a t i n g the maze of midnight with kaleidoscopic traces of what once soared… But in the chasm of loss and agony, I found the gossamer essence of hope from the glass-winged arms of metamorphosis… Now I breathe you, organza moonlight, e c l i p s e d by crimson claws of condescending constellations, while faith sleeps within the pale husk of mythical mists, drinking pomegranate ambrosia, from the rose-gold horn of Persephone’s throne, as black-magic thickets thrive from the cursed lips of tendrils ~ harvesting pain, rustling through the vineyard of violet orchids amidst this heart that sings of evergreen springs, etched with sins and tears onto catacomb cellars of wickedness… Listen to your heartbeat, there, in the mirroring cadence of soft-spoken rhymes, I live and reside ~ wandering through the hallways; an asylum of metaphors turning wraiths of words into wisterias, whirling in the whimsical wind, a castle of alliterative archives emanating empathic embers that burned capricious chords to carve calligraphic clemency with Cleopatra’s gold seized from the Egyptian deserts… But it is through the satanic soul of kohl seas I found the bluest streak of bliss ~ my Felix Culpa, sprinkling firefly dust from afar ~ I see you, awaiting the return of butterflies… For you and I, we found L o v e, inhaling poetic promises, exhaling toxic tercets ~ with syllables of stressed desire, you showed me rainbows of sage, taught me the rhythm of truth, to silence the thunder that roars in rage within the fragile psyche of life, and in your presence, I loved and learned ~ to curate colors from the ethereal dreamscape of d u s k…

IE, I had to look up "Felix Culpa" as the term was unknown to me. You did a great job here describing making lemonade from lemons. Really excellent and fun to read all the descriptors you use to make a bit of hope and something that seems to feel good. Smiles!!

What is it like breathing Organza moonlight? That must be an interesting sensation and does it give you acid reflux? You have such an immense vocabulary and thought provoking mind with all the different metaphors you use.. You seem to write a lot about love, loss, transformation and self discovery.. like you are a born again caterpillar still waiting to become a butterfly or maybe you have had your heart broken so many time.. but you always express it so differently... all the best dear..

This wonderful verse explores love, sorrow, and rebirth, dearest Ink. It shows love as both a cause of grief and a stimulus for growth, as it follows heartache to hope. Metamorphosis symbolizes transformation and regeneration, while mythology and nature show how human emotions and the cosmos are linked. Love's effects on the mind are explored in the poem, which blends beauty with misery. Poetic language uses strong images and metaphors. The words "gossamer," "organza," and "metamorphosis" conjure delicate beauty, but "crimson claws" and "satanic soul" add darkness.

"I live and reside, wandering through the hallways, an asylum of metaphors turning wraiths of words into wisterias...", will those metaphors ever escape the madness of Reality's dreams to become their own lives. I like the touch of History and mythology. This is a beautiful testimony of how we can grow gloriously through love. Your Felix Culpa must feel like a touch of Destiny Poetess...J.A.B....A FAV!!

I read your lovely imagery, then drank a cup of coffee and read it again. Coffee worked, got me there, I became as alert as your poem and wrapped up inside its pow-pow-pow meaning and flow ... CayCay

Life and love are both very fragile, and I'm struck by your first line about love becoming a 'withering star.' A bane it is when love fades and those promises, poetically written or affectionately spoken or broken. There's always a new dreamscape to be painted and lived.

drinking pomegranate ambrosia would perhaps plant some wonderful mystic poetry you are so capable of. Alas I'm a poor wordsmith and will never attain such height. Perfect metaphors, and pure alliteration. Your poems will always be great.

Again and again, if I say, you are unusually gifted, I fear it is going to be a bore. Still I can't help repeating it. What wonderful imagery and metaphor! I think this is the title, very few have chosen and you have done full justice to it. Each line is pregnant with meaning and carries a depth one cannot easily fathom. I am sure you are going to be placed at the top. "you showed me rainbows of sage, taught me the rhythm of truth, to silence the thunder that roars in rage within the fragile psyche of life," Thus you found in the thistles of love, your Felix Culpa! In your phrase, "through the satanic soul of kohl seas I found the bluest streak of bliss " This sure is a FAVE for me.

As always, you create such amazing images. Euphony! Even simply putting little spaces between the letters in the word dusk makes the ending even cooler. I think there was a poem you wanted me to see but not sure the title. I will go look

Dearest Inky,Wow, you really have a gift for weaving words into pure magic. This piece feels like stepping into a dream—lush, haunting, and celestial all at once. The imagery is stunning, like a dance between mythology and emotion, where love and loss intertwine with cosmic beauty. Every line glows with an ethereal depth, and the rhythm pulls you in like an incantation. Absolutely mesmerizing! Good luck in the contest, a winner in my eye...Hugs
