Felix Culpa

Mantle of sufferings

Thrust upon us all
We share in His Agony
And lift His Cross
With our tribulations

No hope, no light
Without darkness

His Resurrection is
Our hope, our light

The way of death is
The way of life

Eternity, our salvation

Began...

On
A Friday
Afternoon

This is a most fitting poem that combines together the importance of those 3 days which serve as a basis for our salvation, James. ~ Best regards // paul

I like this one. A very simple faith based telling of the old, old story. I enjoyed reading it this afternoon. Thanks for your visit to my page. I am glad that you let me know that you are still caring for your mom. I know that is a big and important responsibility. It is good that you are doing this for her in her old age. Sara

In high school, we had to attend Tres Hores, three Hours in Church, in Chicago. From noon to three, in remembrance of that day. Today, it’s a day to go shopping??? When I was young, there was no shopping on the Lord’s Day. Well crafted poem. Panagiota

I love incense, the smell of candles, and Gregorian chant. Seeing bowed heads in humility. Instead of riots, fires, etc. I think I was blessed to live many serene years. Hope you did, too. Huggs, Panagiota xx

James, these words describe why we call it "Good Friday". God's plan of salvation had to go through Calvary. "His Resurrection is Our hope, our light". Amen! Thank you for sharing this, a Fave for me. May God bless your Good Friday and Easter with hope and joy ~ John
