Fears Height
Morning sun beats through a car window
A dreadful scream pierces flat silence
Penetrates my core with its violence
Wanton provocation sits in limbo
The wholesome effects of a victims fears
Alarming concern ravished my being
Couldn’t believe what I stood seeing
Insidiously justified as horror leers
A reckless behavior takes control
His figure lurking in the bushes
Victim sees a chance and pushes
Ravenous scum of misery and dole
She runs to the side of my backyard
Terrified as she flails and screams
He follows the fence under the beams
Swinging with vengeance, she strikes him hard
She found a shovel against my home
Knowing the rapist needed to die
Seeming renewed, she looked to the sky
Reaping his death as the sun still shone
