In this little ballad poem, I am making fun of myself when one time I went to fuss, and I squeaked instead when I opened my mouth. It was so hilarious, I thought I’d write about it. When something funny happens at a moment you’re so serious... it changes everything. What’s more disarming than when it’s your turn to present your argument... you are flustered and furious... and then you suddenly SQUEAK! ??????
FEAR THE SQUEAK
Once when I can got angry. Just plain ticked off,
And when waiting the chance to speak.
For when I am steaming,
It was so demeaning,
When my turn to argue, my voice SQUEAKED!
Was it because I'm a lady, somewhat of a baby,
out of practice when mad showing terror,
You can bet your last dollar,
Wasn’t even a holler,
Was this a joke or some kind of error?
At my greatest upsetting moment,
my whole house went totally silent,
As if there was something to fear,
They braced themselves stiff to hear,
But instead of a rage,
What took to the stage,
Was a hilarious Air splicing spear.
Thank God I’m so loved,
when I reached the angered peak.
Though blowing steam, didn’t sound so mean
It was quite an unexpected freak.
Pushed to my limit,
Right to the last minute,
The worse I could do was squeak.
So buyer buyer beware,
Though I don’t ever swear,
Don’t have to reach down so deep,
To scary things up in a heap.
I'm a kitten gone Tigress,
A woman almight’es,
When unhappy, nobody sleeps.
The car is liable to swerve,
if you’ve probably got on my nerves,
I may not soon speak,
But hold on to your seat,
Hear it comes now, fear the SQUEAK!
