Notes About The Poem

                                                   MINICHU

Fear

Scary show watched alone.
Made me tremble with fear, really wasn’t faking.
On my own.

Fear filled my head.
Horror movie, I was shaking.
Sheer dread.

Bad dreams.
Earth was quaking.
Screams.

Scary show watched alone.
Horror movie, I was shaking.
Screams.

You have handled a difficult form of poetry with so much of ease. Watching a horror movie all alone and that too in the stillness of the night can be so scary. All the best dear friend.

Thank you dear Valsa. I must admit, now I have my head around this difficult form, it is a lot easier. Your understanding of the poetry, make your comments so rewarding. What a dear friend you are.

Love this poem dear SV. I too, like many, don’t really like watching horror movies(apart from perhaps a classic ghost story) Your poem depicts well the feelings of watching alone. That could be me! They play on my mind too afterwards. So enjoyed it. Fingers crossed for you for the contest. Hugs and smiles to you xx :) :)

Hi Christina, thank you for your lovely comment. These Minichus, can be tricky. There are a lot of rules to follow placement of lines must be exact, syllable count must be spot on and rhyme sequence must also be faithfully followed. For a tiny poem there are a lot of rules, but its getting to be fun. Best wishes from SV

Images prompt my muse, if I have one, lol. Which ever came first, they are a perfect fit. Scare flicks great for a fear Minichu. Great entry!

So far, all entries I have seen are original and very good. Mohan has a hard job ahead. Thanks for your comment my friend. All my poems come first without exception. Then I have fun either finding or creating an image to match. Best wishes SV,

So many scary movies are just plain silly these days, but sometimes I see one that I wish I hadn't started watching...lol. A good comment Silent One. Thank you

Dear SV, Engaging literature is brimming with profound metaphors that delve into the depths of our souls. While movies may evoke fear within us, they serve as a mirror for self-discovery and a cautionary tale against perpetuating negative behaviors. This poem holds immense relevance and resonates deeply with its readers.BOL in the contest.

Tough one, this one dear friend. I have seen all 4 entries that are in so far. If it were me judging I couldn't separate them. Each one completely unique and spot on excellent. It will be interesting to see who will now post a better one. The challenge is on. Thanks for your lovely comment. I urge you to see Anaya's, Dilly Dally's & Unseeking Seeker's. Even Mohan himself has posted a new one ! Its Minichu Madness. Hoping you will join the fun. My very best wishes. SV

5 am I woke up (lazy Sunday morning) thinking, I could make that minichu better! Just the regular sort of thing one thinks when they wake up. So I sat and wrote this in minutes ( compared with the hours my first one took!) I agree about watching scary movies. Decades ago my daughter as a teenager and I watched a movie called when a stranger calls. (original version) She told me she still has bad dreams about it and I admitted to her I do too. NOT GOOD.. Thanks for your comment Anne-Lise. I swear Soup couldnt do without you. You are an amazing friend to everyone. I think we all love you to bits. Your hugs come just when needed. Thank you sweet lady.
