Fave Things

I love the little game we play when your asleep stuck bewteen the two worlds of the unconscious and the conscious mind when I whisper your name and kiss you a few times but you smile no matter how tired you are welcoming me to come to that place of the unconscious and I love ripped up jeans so soft and comforting as i run my fingers over your knees and I admire how durible the fabric remains after 3 long years like us and I smile and I love conversations spent holding each other feeling the leather on my back as your fingers trace outlines of my face and the once or twice cryings where we were too honest breaking each other hearts but here where we scooped up the pieces and loved each other even more I love leaving the room and always knowing where to find you holding my guitar unaware of anything but your music I am always surprised to hear the beautiful voice you always try to hide and your playing rests still in my memory soothing my dreams and for you I dance in the land of the unconscious mind to kiss you once and be welcomed by your arms
