What are these strange creatures?
They swim in skins
not their own

calling us 
into them 
they amuse us

we are fathoms deeper

they 
are a long way 
from Home

Swimming with the deadliest, wasn't sure if I could watch. It was both stressful and thrilling to see. If they are close by, they are disoriented from poisons and are looking for food. I wonder if Billy Sain Australia's pro surfer knew The Duke, my poem of "THE DUKE" is a tribute to a pro surfer from Hawaii who met and married a gal from Australia where they lived happily ever after!

A close friend of mine up in Queensland, who lives on the Gold Coast, brought to my attention that Orcas had ventured into the warmer waters up there. (Somewhere near Jumping Pin or Stradbroke Island), close to Gold Coast. I've never known Orcas to frequent Sydney's oceans, let alone my home state of Queensland. Sure other types of whales are seasonal in both NSW and Qld...not Orcas though. News Report and vision in one of the boxes below about the Queensland / Gold Coast visit by Orcas July 2022. That I thought odd, and wondered if they were venturing into new territory, due to food shortage or some other reason. After some research discovered they do swim in our waters (including Qld), but home is usually in colder climates. Amazing to swim with them in the wild, I always thought they would go for a human (like a shark would), there have been no record of killing humans in the wild, but there have been fatalities with humans by Orcas kept in captivity.

Great video! Indeed, they swim in skins not their own, and walk the earth covered in artificial...and pray to...I hope we get at least this one right:) Love it! A Fav!

lol. I shall be cremated and my ashes scattered over the Orcas. You hear these nightmare stories about them killing people while they are in captivity, but surprisingly in the wild they will not attack a human, they are in fact not part of the whale family, but dolphin family. On the other hand I would not want to be an otter...
