Father

My eyes close tight, as they prep you for surgery...
Tears fall down my face and I began to feel weary...

I prayed to the Father, that your heart will pull through...
To beat once again, when the last machine releases you.

As an old chapter is closed up, a new heart begins another...
I know you will not give up, I have always known you as a fighter...

Day after day, you’re getting stronger, as the week comes to a draw.
I bowed to my knees, giving thanks to the Great Physician; the healer of all.

Your work conveys decent descriptiveness in its simple and easy to read wording.

I just love that last line, comparing the healer of all to the Great physician!
