Best Fatherheart Poems
My eyes close tight, as they prep you for surgery...
Tears fall down my face and I began to feel weary...
I prayed to the Father, that your heart will pull through...
To beat once again, when the last machine releases you.
As an old chapter is closed up, a new heart begins another...
I know you will not give up, I have always known you as a fighter...
Day after day, you’re getting stronger, as the week comes to a draw.
I bowed to my knees, giving thanks to the Great Physician; the healer of all.
Sweet …my tender love.
My heart has been nothing more,
but an organ in my body.
Your departure from my life,
has left it untouched by anyone.
You…who has been my every thing,
Is now gone!
My light has found its new home!
God love you more,
than I …
I know…!
You’ll be happy, in your new home.
I’ll be fine-
Don’t worry…! You are missed!
Nothing can ever replace you,
in this life I now have to live,
without you.
You… only you… have touched my heart…
Daddy…
You are missed!
Even thought I’m with him…shh…! Papa!
It’s not all blessed.
He cares for me…
He does…!
I know this!
He says I love you each day to me…
He tells me I’m in his heart always.
I know…
And he’s not in mine.
It's dark.
No light shines in this little hole in my heart.
I've tried so many times to make this go away.
You left without a word, there's nothing else to say.
It wouldn't be as bad if you only did it once.
I know you haven't forgotten us.
Maybe you should clear the air, wake up, come back, and I'll make it clear.
You don't mean a thing to me, you never will.
My heart still beats, there is no more fear.
I'll explain it to the youngest one.
Why you left, why you still haven't come.
They will only know who you were, nothing else, nothing more.
Maybe one day you will see.
But in the dark of my heart you will be.
Watching my daughter while pretending;
My son’s smile with a tooth missing;
Helping untangle their kite string;
These are the things that make my heart sing.
Opening presents on Christmas day;
Watching her act in the school play;
Listening at night to hear them pray;
These are the things that make my heart sway.
Seeing him make a football score;
Taking her to the arts and crafts store;
Having them beg for one story more;
These are the things that make my heart soar.
Just in case you missed the theme
About what makes my heart sing,
It’s the joy that my kids bring
In watching them do most anything.
Dear father,
I thank you more than once a day
dreams of you raising the hand'
how it all crept in my mind
i just couldn't understand
terrorizing me was how you'd unwind
crayons scribble along the only sheet left
0h...dear father,
every pillow drop of night i lay
you'll hear tears from the sinks
in sanctuaries where I'd pray
therein childhood parks lives my tale
now falls wash down my hale soul
after winds had blown my perfection
in mothers eyes I'd never fall
our life made no constant connection
beyond all that was right
i barely came close...
to reach peace, i let you win each night
projecting those eyes,hands, and that nose...
setting a barrier between all that you froze
in mothers eyes I'd never fail
fists breaking memories of glass
distracted skimming my mail
wasn't long before i panicked in class
a distant line from home before
your bond, bailed my life away...
no soul of man can break a door
when such a bruised heart divides
why'd you even start?
to the inner core that collides
you slit my heart apart
from the corners, to the ground
running toward my bed to unwind
correlating bedtime with banging sound
to pair for long with a friend
had a difficult song to rhyme
before any positive end.
Forever living a mystery of the history
behind disaster beyond a days loving.
Goodbye release, goodbye dark angels
you're alone.
save the light before you could preach no trace
if ever brought upon the throne
to enter, you best not show that face.
dont follow me down the aisle...
father you don't have a place
for you a preacher would annile,
our kids replaced what's said and done,
but never shall we escape to become
the victims of domestic chase
let out the shame...to confess,
flipping thru childhood reruns,
made life...
set, in that worn abandoned nest.

In my heart you'll stay.
Broken hearts.
Painful tears.
Confusing thoughts.
Sleepless nights....
Peaceful winds.
Thoughful faces.
Gazing stares.
Hopeful wishes.
Step by step.
Closer and closer.
How empty we feel.
How unthinkable the acts.
We want answers.
We want justice.
We now have empty places.
in our hearts and in our minds.
Chills down my spine.
What's the use of thinking,
when there is no explanation?
It brings me to tears,
and will...
for so many more years.
I'm crying out!
No - more like shouting out!
I pray but, still it's all just gray.
This weak tingle
my bones start feeling -
when i try to put all the pieces together...
makes no sense.
The last puzzle piece is missing.
No one is smart enough to find it.
Metaphors do me no good anymore.
I want to go back in time
and spare the loss.
Say goodbye one more time.
One last hug.
One last kiss on the cheek.
One last joke.
One last smile.
One last phrase -"i love you."
I miss you.
I think about you.
Do you still think of me?
How proud you were of me?
There is however,
no doubt, something
you didn't deserve..
Denial still.
It's hard to forget the memories,
Thank God they'll never go away?
Someday?
In my heart you'll stay.
Can you still protect me?
This world is cold, you obviously know;
I'd rather have you back
then to have sunshine, rain, or snow.
There is still one thing i want to know...
Why'd you have to go?
