Fatalistic Firework

He shot me into the raw sky for hope while my opalescent glow deluded witnesses into believing they may have bested predestination, seeing my colors as proof positive of humanity’s ability to improve upon the natural order of things; that awe and amazement, while ephemeral, can motivate us to comprehend, perhaps even advance monumental changes. Here’s the deal: when I get going my explosive nature reacts to the atmosphere making things worse. All I do is accelerate global warming, kidney failure, cancer while you ooh and ah. I hurt the planet. I injure you. Alluring, lethal, and bursting with karmic energy. As I die, you expire. Our fates nothing more than one doomed intertwined conclusion.
