Farewell Yankee Stadium

Babe, Mickey, Lou, and all the rest of the ghost of the past, did you hear? Your home is coming down soon, no more games there for you to watch. History there was a marvel to read about, just sorry I never made it there. Wrigley and Fenway will be only parks left where Babe and the rest played. Will miss you Yankee Stadium, so many World Series played there, the house that Ruth built will be no more. wrote 9-26-08 1923-2008 Last season for baseball to be played there, will come down shortly after season ends.

Great poem. We are Yankee fans and I've been there twice. It was a beautiful stadium and so many great players had graced that field. My mom saw Joe DiMaggio there. She said the whole stadium roared when he took the field. Thank you for your kind comments. I enjoy reading your work. God bless, Robin

This is a wonderful tribute to a great stadium. I remember when I used to live in New York and would go there. The excitement was stimulating at the games with the Mets. This is memory refreshing. Great job! ~Joseph
