Farewell Drama
Welcome New Year
I'm glad that you're here
But quickly the drama sets in
The world as I know it
Is changing
And I'm begin greeted
By some really strange things
I mean
Issues, after issues,
Followed by more issues
So Drama, if you think I'll accept defeat by you this year
Well you have another thing coming
Because I strongly refuse
To allow you to sneak up on me
Like a thief in the night
Drama you have no idea of who you're facing
I hope you're really for a good fight
No more will I allow you to catch my off guard
And YES, your curve balls have been coming kind of hard
But not hard enough to knock me down
Instead I've caught them all with a frustrated
Never allowing the satisfaction of seeing me frown
New, you'll never have the joy of seeing me sweat
I'll take everything you dish out
And I'll hand it over to God
Because you know as well as I know
With him I'm as best as best can get
I bet you never recognized that I was standing on his promises
And here, I mean right here
Is where I'll stay
So once again welcome to the New Year
Drama
But I hope you go on about your merry way
