Fare Thee Well

To all the girls I've loved before
You know I always wanted more
But I could always see
Your love was not for me
But for a soulmate you adore

In dreams you found that love can grow
With someone you don't even know
And set my love aside
To be the blushing bride
In dreams where only you can go

I'm glad you found the time to share
The moments when we were a pair
Please live an happy life
As someone else's wife
But know that I shall always care

Rico, you've surprised me with this departure from the usual. What a thoughtful, expressive poem! Janice

For the first time I am reading a poem from you other than limerick...... but clothed in limerick form. This generous love, free of possession, I really liked dear friend !

Tender moments shared in these bitter sweet limericks Rico. The greatest love puts their loved one’s happiness first. Inspiring Rico. Blessings. xxoo

I have told my son several times that if she cares more about her happiness than his happiness, then she doesn't love him . . . ..

Is this really you, Rico? It’s a great poem, but in a style I’ve never seen you use before. Branching out, eh? More power to you!

Several Soupers have written poems regretting their one-night stands, so I thought I should write to say they were really appreciated! Aloha!
