~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Still as the softest morning dew,
Listless and lonely,
Breathing in notes, harmonizing
With the leaves as they dance,
Haphazardly, in rhythms – rhymes
Of light and serenity, faithful to the colors
Bleeding across hesitant callings…
August remembers when the songs grew weary,
Fading from the summer in blues,
Softest indigo and cerulean drowned by hues,
Of melancholy, soundless as the moments
Before yesterday spun out of control
Whispering dreams in blessings purer than silence,
Fates blazing with yesterday’s quiet….
Trembling on the waves, sea struck and awkward,
Like the laughter of robins who see
Beneath the treasures of the earth, the wind
A music far sweeter than the dream,
More intimate than grace,
And crying like there will be no waiting,
When the time comes…
Blessings, still and humble, lingering
Just beneath the light,
Falling like shadows in the distance,
Breaking through the heat,
Summertime feelings, blowing in the wind,
Graceful and awake, like a prayer
Who pleads with the Maker, for blessings,
Sweeter than the mysteries,
Who flavor even the mists with praise,
Praising, beyond the hills….
Battles, for every believer,
Be they greater, bigger or not either,
Remind the spirit, even the weak
Know what it can mean,
To give away a piece of the gift,
His grace – never more alive inside,
Than when it is strewn, like stars in the sky
Across the lives of those who need to see…
God’s love, pouring out,
From the soul who sincerely believes
He is who He says He is…
He is the Creator of everything, each detail,
Even the darkest storm heeds His voice,
Although each one has a choice…
It is faith in Him, His grace, His love,
That means more, so much more…
God is love and God is hope,
God is alive and He lives inside…
Those of us who have the faith to say….
I’m living for the One who made a way,
Where there was no way –
The One who stayed when I was afraid,
The One who I believe when I can’t see past the ache,
The One who is light – love that never ends.
Because of His grace, I will never face…
The punishment I deserve for the sin He forgave.
Because He is love, sent from above,
I know that I’m saved from the worst of the worst.
I’m saved because I’ve been born again –
And, my new family are heirs of the King of Kings.
We’re called Christians, but in faith we’ll ever cling
To the joy that love this alive will forever bring!
