Family On Vacation

Where are we going?
a simple question
but words can be embosssed.

Teen-age son thinks,
"WHERE are we going?"
and moans, "Do I HAVE to go?"

Busy Mom thinks,
"Where ARE we going?"
meaning, "Honey, are you LOST?"

The youngster thinks,
"Where are WE going?"
wond'ring, "Do I GET to go?"

When Papa thinks,
"Where are we GOING?"
he asks, "How much will THIS cost?"

oh I love this. AS an English teacher for foreign students, I sometimes focus on the change of emphasis on words to show different meanings. this is awesome. Congrats.

Dear Reason, Really got a kick out of this as I remember similar conversations on family vacations. Of course, Dad focuses on the cost and Mom's afraid of getting lost. Congratulations on your win! Love, Carolyn

Thank you Carolyn, I appreciate your comment very much. Hope you are doing well these days. We had Halloween Trick of Treat tonight with a stiff wind and low forties temps.
