Family Joy

In pure elation joy is near and dear With two granddaughters and a grandson here. Their sounds of laughter fills me with delight, Playing games with them far into the night. At years of twelve and ten, two are in school. With baby, we swim in my daughter’s pool. They love to share thoughts and dreams with me. When they ask my advise I'm filled with glee. I’ve taught them the Lord’s Prayer to say each night. My worries flee when they’re within my sight. When they’re away dark clouds just form a haze, My sweethearts bless me in so many ways. On piano, bongo, and flute they play, A cacophony of sounds, their way. There’s many countless songs that we have sung. the Greeks say that a grandchild is twice your child so you love them twice as much as you did your children, they bring joy into your life and I am about to experience this joy very soon, Robyn is almost 4 months pregnant, never ever would they have a child - 17 years later we heard this elating news, they are so excited, and I to be a granny for the first time, WOW. Congratulations Jennifer. I know you will love being a grandmother. Other than giving birth to my children my grandchildren are my greatest joy. just spent a Saturday at my 8yr old granddaughter's dance recital, it was fun but a long day...you sound like your having a lot of fun with your grandchildren, as you already know Connie they grow up fast

Yes, that just seem to grow up overnight. Once they become teens suddenly they feel grown up and are less likely to listen to advice so you need to pay attention while they are young. How lovely that your granddaughter performed for you. Carissa was in ballet until Covid ruined attending. Blessings xxoo

I can feel your joy with your adorable grandchildren around . I feel an element of jealousy too as I don't have any grand children ! My elder son got married two years back and the younger one is yet to be matrried as we got our two sons after long 12 years of waiting. Enjoy dear Connie !

My son and his wife waited eight years and finally she became pregnant with my only grandson. My youngest was the first to have a child. I have three grandchildren and will not have any more and I cherish them. I hope you get the grandchild you long for soon. Thank you Valsa. Blessings xxoo

My grandson was only here for the summer and only stayed for a little over a week. But my oldest daughter is coming here to live in another week with her 2 1/2-year-old daughter. I am so pleased that I get to see her grow up. My 10-year-old granddaughter is living with me now. They do break me much joy. Thank you very much. Blessings xxoo
