Fame and Fortune

Fame and fortune
     she did not seek

   For she was humble
     she stayed meek

   Her twin brother
     chased a star

   That did her brother's
     life devour

   So, please adopt
     his sister’s view

   Let fame and fortune
     ~ come to you

Not having made a fortune nor fame, what can I say. Judge those who did?? . I do know both money and also having a fat-head for no reason are destructive. Toss in booze, edibles and drugs, the highway to hell. . We can be our worst enemies. Panagiota xx

Nicely done, Gershon:-) Fame is a drag. It's terrifying to lose your privacy! I'll take fortune any day. Then again, anybody would! lol

You're smart, Tom. My sources told me Putin's paparazzi are hot on your trail...

There is solid advice in this fine poem, Gershon. Fame and fortune can be very elusive. A person should just be the best they can be (which is reward in itself), and if it happens, it happens. :)

Do not go after fame and name. If one really deserves them, they will naturally come to her/him.

That's exactly right, Valsa. Well, at least I don't have to worry about Fame coming after me. As for you,... :)

Hey, Michael. Me, too. Seems fame and fortune aren't getting the message about you and me. Maybe we should alert them with a -- hunger strike or something. lol. Thanks, gw
