Falling softly against a beloved, silent dawn
Leaves of every color, amber and gold
Breath of summer joy has finally gone
Autumn drifts in to reveal whispers of cold
Beautiful joy falls all around the marigold
Flowers slowly fade, flowing as is foregone
Sighing through the sunshine’s happy mold
Falling softly against a beloved, silent dawn
Lovely shades of life fall like images drawn
To life by creative hand inspired to remold
Brilliant hopes and dreams we touch on
Leaves of every color, amber and gold
Oak, birch and maple who’ve grown old
Lift their cheerful branches above the lawn
Inspiring the heart with blessings to behold
Breath of summer joy has finally gone
Across the emerald hills, life begins to yawn
Beckoning for one more moment to uphold
As sun embraces the naked thoughts over yon
Autumn drifts in to reveal whispers of cold
Laughing dreams encourage hearts to be bold
Through the shimmering moments that wan
Revealing faith that fills the soul up tenfold
Lighting the way for autumn to pray on and on
Falling softly against a beloved….
