FALLING

I watched them Floating Silent On an idle wind No flight plan No destination No appointments Just a relaxed release Of a season’s tensions A whispered exhaled “ahhhh” They did not look sad Or weary As they drifted Into the mystery Of winter.

I was still thinking about this poem when I got in my car earlier and We Are Sailing came on the radio. It reinforced the imagery of souls returning to a womb like comfort of home - perhaps that's why we are mesmerised by leaves and snowflakes - maybe there is something in the way they journey and that their apparent end is a new beginning. Anyway, I enjoyed the poem even if I might be wide if the mark. You're a true talent John

A glorious poem John, captures the moment so perfectly....the flow and rhythm drifts so easy on the ear...your voice comes through.

ahh, the graceful dance of fall's lingering leaves drifting without a plan into the mystery of winter. This is just beautiful. Have to fav it for sure. Have a great evening, Sara
