" IN MEMORY OF THE DEAD OF WW ONE " MY PHOTO, ©
They met on the battlefield of duty Young men all were, full of dreams for the future The spring of their lives had just begun But All answered the call and came at once to fight for: Their country Their families Their beliefs Their faith Their honor And they did fight to the very end with hate for the enemy in their hearts Till their bodies were laid on the ground- dead! Then, As their souls were leaving the prison of their inanimate bodies, Liberated thus from: Misguidance Ignorance Planted hate and Injustice Looked at each other anew and to their amazement realized That nothing from what divided them till then anymore existed: No country No family No creed No status and No race For The same all were- Pure light, having heaven as their home And only love in their consciousness they felt, Love that all of them united into One So As their souls filled with the divine knowledge of the Oneness Jubilant soared to heaven, where God, the father of them all- With opened arms to receive them awaited! © Demetrios Trifiatis 13 November 2018 * The leaders of the world met the other day in Paris to pay tribute to all those who fell in the line of duty during the first WW. This little poem is my tribute to all those who gave their life for us to live in peace today. Let us pray that no war will disturb humanity in the future because we, in reality are brothers and sisters!
