Fallen Battlefield

she has fallen into him like a vortex
swirling into an ageless battle
he places tender kisses upon neck
she promises in her heart never to fall
But this kind of love has a way of...
bringing to knee's
sometimes in tears
sometimes for pleasure
sometimes for pray
and sometimes to crawl away
from a battle too famialar with
where you know where all the bodies lay
where she knew all his movements
all the flickers and promises of grenades
going off in the heat of passion
burning skin with subtle touches
hurricanes form beneath whispers of hope
as if all the dead body questions had finally been answered
you wage war of love
when love does not belong to you.
it belongs to time itself
for time and time again she has fallen into him
like a vortex
swirling into an ageless battle
where heartbreak and death are imminent
