Fallen Away From Grace - Galatians 5: 4

The law of God has a given purpose
to show mankind their sin
as the holy spirit's power convicts
revealing what dirt lies within

The comforter then points you to Christ
who from sin sets you free
for on the cross, He died
so you'll know true liberty

For only in Christ you're justified
don't be foolish in keeping the law
that alone can't justify you
remember the cross look what you saw

You have severed yourself from Christ
trying to be justified by the law's decree
law-keeping can't take your sin away
plead with Christ for grace on your knee

Having fallen away from grace
repent and believe as you did before
follow Jesus now and forevermore
right through into heaven's door

AUTHOR NOTES: this is based on this verse.
You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
Galatians 5: 4
