FAITH IN GOD WHO CARRIES US
AWAY FROM SIN-CAPTIVITY
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward grateful thanksgiving
While counselling us to trust Him, always His Word believing
By His assurance to which we are constantly cleaving
As our faith increases for our triumphant living.
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward wise spirituality
While guarding us against destruction of fear’s fatality
By His deliverance proven in our salvation-certainty
As our faith stands upon His truth’s verity.
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward joyous praises
While freeing us against bondage of unbelief’s curses
By His sanctification and forgiveness for our confessed carnal choices
As our faith trusts Him to cover us with His compassion that encloses.
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward holy fight
While leading us to walk for maturity-height
By His direction nurturing us to do what is right
As our faith flourishes for stewardship delight.
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward victorious promised land
While instructing us along His command
By His precepts through His governing hand
As our faith abides in Him for sincere service as He planned.
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward divine fruitfulness
While ruling over us to conquer our doubtfulness
By His blessings showcasing His graciousness
As our faith keeps on clinging to Him against sinfulness.
God carries us away from sin-captivity toward everlasting treasure
While bringing us to His save heaven against grievous pressure
By His strength upholding us midst His cheerful pleasure
As our faith exalts Him for His greatness beyond measure.
