I just read Crystol Woods's winning poem, Deciduous Teeth, and started thinking.  I wish I could've captured the fun and charm of her poem that inspired this.

Our Crystol tells of tiny fairies, fair, but what about the one who had to cry, who broke her rudder, and she couldn't fly? I see her lost and drifting through the air, is there none to believe, and none to care? To gather teeth, her plan has gone awry, this delicate creature who's caught my eye, oh please, my charming fairy don't despair. As you drift where savage winds will send you, you needn't buy a flat for your cover, as I will find a way to bring you hope. I must bring you back to earth to mend you, as up above me you gently hover. Won't you grab and hold this life-saving rope?
