Fair Skinned Folk Testify

When I go to the pool or beach... I always have to wear an old t-shirt... To keep my shoulders from blistering, huge painful blisters See I was born with this sensitive Fair skin and over the years a few freckles have decided to join me on my shoulders My nanny told me it was an angel's kiss She had an answer for it all at age ninety Something special lady.... Anyway back to the bad sunburn and blisters I am sporting today, I forgot the old t-shirt when I went swimming for therapy... I won't forget my shirt next time! I pay alot of money for a "pretty" bathing suit and have to cover it up with the old t-shirt...bummer! Ouch!! Do I have another fair complexion soul mate out there?

Put on a lot of sunscreen, Doris. Or better, use Sunblock # 50 or even 75. And let the world know you've been kissed by an angel. :) Thank you for your kind comments on my featured poem. Best wishes, Caroline.

I can totally relate Doris .. but as I got older I started to tan really nicely and slowly ..that is the secret.. hope Sara is OK ..definite prayers coming her way... I just posted a new blog with some photos of our vacation.. we have hundreds.. so I will keep these on for now and then alternate with more in a week or so.. go taste some island magic and see my 'honey poo' too.. AlohA.. god bless .. luv..

You gotta love those tiny little freckles that pop up after a day in the sun. I went swimming a few weeks back. My shoulders were so burned. So I appreciated what you were saying here. The sun is not a friend to us fair skinned ones. Thank you also for your kind words.

I am burned today, but I had sunscreen on and I still get burned if I don't wear that shirt...I tan faintly but still burn for every 40 minutes in the sun with or without sunscreen. I won't give up my sunshine though!! It is too much fun!!

Oh, we see many fair-skinned people getting burned on Florida's beaches. Luckily, I tan easily and usually only burn the first day of sunbathing each spring. You have many "fair complexion soul mates," Doris! But don't forget to use some lotion next time, okay? Love, Carolyn
