Her indifference was merely a facade coquettish glances hidden by her fan to see the real agenda wasn't hard she sent out clues like only women can. Champagne in hand she gazed across the floor half listening to her chaperone, head cocked but scanning the Lieutenant by the door to meet and hold his glance, when their eyes locked. Continuing to feign indifference, the hand she'd dealt not willing to play yet sadly for all of her perseverance that night would be one she would not forget. For as she would be told and has seen since Lieutenant only had eyes for the Prince. For contest, 'Camouflage me a poem', sponsor Broken Wings, August 7th, 2016, title modified on request :)

Sorry if the title change of name threw you, Connie, Broken Wings asked me to change it. Nice to see you, though, Viv x

My favourite line "she sent out clues like only a women can". I feel her frustration.

I would not hesitate catching your eye across a crowded ballroom floor, Jean, in our finest attire we would look like a tin of Quality Street x

Thanks, Harry. taking the definition of camouflage as making objects or people hard to see by any means, I suppose we all don camouflage occasionally. Regards, Viv

Thanks, Connie, camouflage is all about deceit, so it seemed appropriate on both sides. hope you're well. viv x

Good camouflage poem. Fits the bill. Good luck. Cold in NZ at present. Lucky we didn't lose Kiwi Games Official at Olympics to stray bullet. Gone off Olympics. Maybe we need Just 2 or 3 permanent sites with different countries getting hosting rights for them to have different flavour. What do you think. Also reduce events. Enjoy rest of weekend David

Thanks, David. I'm only watching the Olympics for the swimming (Adam Peaty trains here in town), the rowing and, when I've spiked my missus' coffee with a sedative, the Women's beach volleyball. The Olympics is a little too tarnished now, drugs, backhanders- you're probably right, four countries around the globe taking the strain, so no more hosts end up bankrupt with deserted stadia. Have a good weekend, regards, Viv (21 degrees c, sunny)
