oh such a sad cycle she had toward the end. I see you are the "real" winner. Brian came to my poem in one of his former contests to say something similar to me like he does right here to you. WAY TO GO, Greg.

Amazing content in such a restrictive format. All the ups and downs and sad ending of a life too short. Well done and congrats for your #1 win, brother. May your family all be healed and healthy this Christmas ~ John

Thank you, Jan - I know you were looking for humor, and I honestly began with that in mind, but it took a different path. I'm trying to listen more to that "still, small voice" and let it decide the flow ... doesn't always work out, but I was content with this, though it wasn't humorous. Thank you for your kind comments and my placement, Jan!

Hey Greg Footle is fantastic. This one messed me up so bad, it jerked me right out of my chair. Thats the impact of a good poem when it rattles you. Now I hate you for doing that

LOL - Sorry for jerking you out of your chair, buddy ... I'll have to make it up to you somehow. (A new chair, maybe?) ;-)
