Eyes Wide Shut
And so she was no more,
her hand fell softly to the floor.
Her lips once soft now were cracked,
all her words were taken back.
Her eyes held open now were shut,
she saw that she had-had enough.
Her ears could hear the trumpets blowing,
her long white hair with each note flowing.
The heavens opened up its doors,
she climbed the stairs from the last floor.
The journey was long and very hard,
but she received the best reward.
