Eye Spy

There was once an old woman,
Who lived in a small village,
Her name was Matilda Schoeman
Like Popeye, she only ate spinach!
One day she went to her Pastor,
To confess that her neighbor was
Always nude,
This is a chapter
Of my life I don’t want to end
Father, am I being rude?
The Pastor came to her house to see,
Saw nothing, oh yes, said she, but if you
Stand On my toilet seat
And put a milk crate on top, and kneel
On one knee,
I can see his weenie, now am I a cheat,
For I feel it’s a treat!
My eyesight is not so good, can not
Always see,
And do not recognize who he may be,
The Pastor looked up to heaven with glee,
So you don’t know said the Pastor,
And put down his half-finished
Cup of tea
Just continue to knit said he,
And under his breath said, thank you God
She does not know that the
Nude man is me!

Jenn, you got POTW for this hilarious tale, and now inclusion in the PS Anthology #2! You ought to be very proud of your poetic skills , but I also know you to be a humble person and wouldn't boast about it. It was great to see 3 very different sides of you with these 3 gems. Hope your New Year is going well for you and Elias. Blessings ~ John (p.s. I love the new pic!)

John, I heard this as a joke at a dinner party and made a mental note to write a poem about it. You are blessed with enormous talent and each of your poems depict the unquenchable thirst you have for writing poetry you and the depth of a beautiful soul. Thank you John, hugs and blessing, from a purple haired adventurous poetess. LOL, i have since cut my hair into a very short bob and have gone red!

Jenn, so happy to see you win the prestigious POTW award with this fun and funny story of the near-sighted parisioner and her greatly relieved Pastor! Your story telling poetry style is as good as it gets. Thanks for the laugh, and big congratulations! Hugs ~ John
