Notes About The Poem

Written for my friend Michelle who was pretty peeved at a £1 fee just to go to a toilet! 06/13/26

Working Title was 'PISS OFF' but I declined from using it or the PC brigade would complain

EXTRACTING THE URINE

She’s desperately needing the loo For urine or maybe a poo But to pay a HUGE fee Just to have a pee Is something Michelle will not do! She’s irate when she went to pee They’re charging an inflated fee One pound for a piss This fee I'd dismiss ... Wear Tena ladies like me!

Unreal, what you wrote and Joanna said below. I'd go outside, pull garments to the side and set myself free. I suppose the FEE to pee free is greater in cost than the store's PEE price, but, man, is the world getting more and more stupid. I know, wear diapers made from unused, clean rags while shopping & leave rag-diapers inside, hidden in the fragrance section. (Find yourself on a poster later? 'WANTED: A PEEeR and LEAVeR) Good limerick, sure woke me up. I had a good time here for free. CayCay

It's reality in India, here they charge from Rupees 5 to 10...

Yet in China, toddlers freely poo/pee in the streets (no undergarments of any kind.) This is CayCay on Jan's page

Jan, this is hilarious. I remember years ago at Old Orchard Beach, they would charge to use the restrooms. I think is was 50 cents.

Taking advantage of nature - what's a girl to do? Wonderful limerick, Jan, with a great message! Hugs and blessings!

Jan, it's funny that rest rooms ain't free in some locations. Next thing you know, they'll charge for the air in the room! I see Tom said the same thing. There's something strange about charging for something that we have to have available. Currently, I travel with a plastic jug just in case. Perhaps the status of bathrooms/loos in a particular country is an indication of the entire nature of a society. Sending smiles, of course!!!

It's an unexpected dilemma for those who head off to the bathroom, unsuspecting to have to pay for the use of a public toilet.

the term 'spend' a penny dates back to when it really cost 1p to go to the loo but with inflation £1 is purely 'taking the piss!' hugs Jan x

Been too long since we read each other. Funny limericks. I'm sure the Tena would have cost less :)
