Exodus a Providential Pilgrimage Parta

He keeps his promises
     the marvelous work of God
prayer-answering
promise-keeping
caring living holy God
of the past
        the present
              & to be

speak o Lord
       your servant hears
fill my inadequacy
                      with you
make me your vessel
                     and renew

el shaddai
          my covenant king
          divine next-of-kin
who pays my debt
who bears my sin

Lord I can't
              you can
so I leave my outcome
                       unforced
my power of choice
                      is you
stay close
         set me apart
         different
        a light-bringer
a pilgrim
     with no hiding place
I contemplate
                my eternity
according to your mercy
