Eve's Revenge

You creep amongst my garden You sneaky thing Slender and brilliantly green - Terrifying yet so beautiful. A serpent from ages past A tempting devil of a pest An ancient rival I think upon your test A fruit so sweet of what’s to be Why you gave that sweet to me And why not him I ask - As I squash your tiny body Under my heel.
