Everyone Always Asks Me About You
Everyone always asks me about you,
unknowingly opening up wounds;
‘It’s more than a poem.’ they say,
as if I didn’t already know that;
Unknowingly opening up wounds
festering art refuses to heal;
As if I didn’t already know that
I’m consumed to a point I must create;
Festering art refuses to heal;
’It’s more than a poem.’ they say,
I’m consumed to a point I must create;
Everyone always asks me about you.
