Everybody's Covid
Some may cough while others sneeze;
Some are brought right to their knees.
Some run fever, others chills;
Some ingest the latest pills.
Some can’t sleep at all at night;
Others have no appetite.
Some test positive for days;
Others just don’t think it pays.
Some go out but wear a mask
While others take those folks to task.
Some have booster shots, and yet
Sick is what they sometimes get.
In our bodies Covid sneaks,
Lasting days or even weeks.
We can hope we’ll be immune,
Unlike me, this afternoon.
