Every Pebble, Every Sin

In the shallows at the water’s edge Lay stones of many sizes All glistening as the sun shines down As yet a new day rises. Some appear round, others appear flat Tumbled by the rushing waves Surfaces washed by the sands of time They lay in their watery graves. The ocean of life is filled with stones Each may be rough at the start But time hones them small to take their place Within your soul and your heart. They do not impede the flow of life Nor get in the way of love But give us moments to pause and reflect And bask in the Son above. Some will be seen at the surface edge Others buried deep within But the Son will shine and cover all Every pebble, every sin.
