Evening

What person would dare decry the wonder of sunset's sky. Before light begins to fade Sunset's colors on parade! Crimson, gold, even a pink. we pause and begin to think Of Nature's wonder, her gift, dusting world with golden sift. Soon dusk spills shadows on field, nudges mountain top to yield. Silhouettes of lilac blue dapple Earth in softest hue. Sunset abdicates her hold on a world she turned to gold. Night arrives in ebon skirt, and begins her starlit flirt. Congratulations Ann! Your poem "Evening" came in "Third Place" in my contest, your personification of sunset was unique and earned you a podium position. Your poem quickly caught my eye; well done my friend, Emile.

Thanks so much, Andrea! I'm not going to have time to write one for Constance's R contest. I've got some catching up to do in house and yard. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so very much, Sam! I was intrigued by the form--Jueju-Qijue, with 7 syllables. Interesting. You're the one with wonderful imagery!
