Eve ate the sweet, Forbidden Fruit; Almighty God forbade her to. That asp, the Devil, was the root; had caused mankind's corrupt debut. The Serpent's vile, malicious tongue led her to crave the 'Knowledge' gift. Upon its promise, Eve had clung- from Garden's haven, she would drift. Forbidden Apple- she did eat; her husband, Adam, took his share. To grasp God's power- chose defeat- and quickly joined her in the snare.
