I came away from reading this with the sense that it was saying 'in the end you are responsible for your own life, so choose wisely??

This was a very intriguing piece for me, especially the last two lines. Could it be the pride that prevents a reconcilliation of this relationship??

I love the line "dancing into the new life". Great imagery in this short but sweet verse.
