Eternity

Oh, that I may look
Deep into the great beyond,
Beholding those thrones and crowns!
But the veil of nature
Has blinded my naked sight.
What vain curiosity!

Eternity bound in mortality
Awaiting the revelation of time;
When the veil shall be shattered
By those glorious thunders,
And we be found amidst saints,
Lost in that great procession,
Where the Prince of Peace leads,
And life knows no bound.
