Erstwhile(Naga-Uta Lyric Form)

Sitting here,I dream
Those Summer days of my youth,
       Life was slower then -
     Holidays,so full of sun
       Time, just drifted by,
Daylight lasting,oh so long -
       Days stretched into weeks
Carefree as we ventured forth
Growing up,was simpler then.

Hello Brian This brings back memories! Life really was a whole lot simpler then wasn't it. I love the message in this, for it makes me want to just sit and ponder for awhile. Take care dear Brian. Blessings to you and yours. Love Light Truth Patricia

Lovely poem.. excellently crafted ! The form enhances the contents so that it flows 'Naturally'. you have use some lovely phasing and repetition.. I love "Life was slower then -" echoed by " Growing up,was simpler then."
