Enthusiastic Lunacy

The ticking, etching the central location
Talking about something
Talking about nothing
To feel
Or not
A thought, a question
Will this dare leave me now?
I can’t see my world it has gone blind
Where I look and to what I find
Passages of time
Knowing the purpose
Or not knowing
Hide it quick its showing
They cannot know me
For if they do they shall be sickened be on compare
For so long you’ve been my friend
So don’t fail me now
My paper, my pen in my hand
A place to run to
A dream to dream
The ticking, etching the central location
The writer's scream

Laura, you're far too hard on yourself. While it is great to have your paper and pen to express your emotions, please don't be afraid to let your inner self show. You have many friends here who love you, regardless of the "enthusiastic lunacy" you may sometimes feel. It only adds to the high quality of your writing! I hope you'll be kind to yourself this holiday season and embrace the Christmas spirit. Much love, Carolyn

A deep scream seems to come from all of us...whether it is ever heard or not....quite often it can be a silent one...but it is there. Well done, Laura. ~ Carrie

Laura... "the writers scream"... wonderful, your poem shows how from agony comes powerful words, full of deep emotion. I can tell these words come from your soul..
