Endurance
Here comes the snow,
Once beautiful, 'tis now our foe.
Here comes the gale,
Bringing with it ice and hail.
Farewell to the house and field,
To impotence we all shall yield.
And weak, we kneel before the storm,
longing to sleep, to finally be warm.
The sky is dark, all day, all night,
As we go on, a crawling flight.
For rescue seems just so obscure,
How much more can we endure?
